The design phase is crucial for the conception of a mould: at this very moment ideas start to take their shape.
Design shows a preview of the final aspect and functioning of a mould, and its precision allows to set machining with margins of error close to zero.
Design is managed internally, by Simec’s technical office, through the most updated softwares in the following applications:

• PowerShape/Toolmaker for 3D modelling
• PowerMill 5 axes
• VISI PEPS wire for the wire-erosion process

We are equipped with 6 CAD/CAM workstations

We can import and write the following file formats:

x_t, iges, step, CATPart (this last one only in reading mode)
